The Santa Maria lab was awarded an R21 grant from the NIAID to develop a novel nanoparticle treatment for chronic suppurative otitis media. This is on the back of exciting new in vitro experiments showing the ability to eliminate chronic pseudomonal persister cells in Pseudomonal biofilms.
