Dr. Solange Massa presented on “Mucoadhesive microgel HB-EGF delivery system for the prevention of radiation induced oral mucositis” during Research Meeting on 8/16/19.Approximately 60,000 patients in the United States are annually diagnosed with head and neck cancer. 40% develop oral mucositis (painful mouth ulcers) and choose early termination of treatment because of this. In collaboration with UPPA (University of Pau), we have developed a polymeric technology to restore the oral mucosa.
